PointPay USA, Inc. today confirmed the completion of the interface of ViVOtech’s ViVOpay 4000 to its OmeroX Lite terminal and certification with Global East to support for MasterCard’s PayPass contactless payment program.

Contactless payments are quick and convenient way for consumers to pay and are as safe as any traditional credit card transaction. Today, more than 25,000 merchants accept more than 10 million MasterCard’s PayPass cards throughout the US.

PointPay USA, Inc. Launches the EFT Smart Plus Terminal at the ETA

At the Electronic Transactions Association’s annual meeting in Las Vegas, PointPay USA announced the introduction of its new, powerful EFT Smart Plus terminal manufactured by Sagem. The EFT Smart Plus is an IP enabled device which features 16 megs of memory, two powerful 32 bit ARM9 RISC processors with fire-walled multi-application support, an internal PIN Pad, an integrated 18 lps printer and an on-board smart card reader.

This terminal has been engineered to be simple to install and operate. During installation, the EFT Smart Plus automatically “finds and loads” the host’s IP address – this is no longer a complicated, labor intensive activity. And in the event the IP network fails, the terminal automatically reverts to a dial-up mode to complete the transaction. Additionally, the clean design of the EFT Smart Plus combined with PointPay’s intuitive application architecture simplifies training and use of the terminal.

The dual ARM9 RISC processor architecture is unique in the industry. One of these 200 MHz processors ensures high speed processing of transactions while the other is devoted entirely to security management to provide the highest level of transaction integrity in the industry.
